A warm welcome to the Hardy Plant Society Middlesex Group
A message from our Chair – Lynn Ronanye-Belhadj
The Hardy Plant Society Middlesex Group includes experienced gardeners and new enthusiasts, but we all have a special interest in hardy herbaceous perennials. We enjoy discovering more about these versatile and beautiful plants and how best to use them in our gardens.
We hold regular meetings – usually in the evening on the first Monday of the month – at Field End Junior School, Field End Road, Middlesex, HA4 9PQ. We invite specialist speakers from all over the country to share their particular expertise with us, as well as leading nurseries, enabling members to buy special plants. You can find full details on our Programme Calendar
We are Passionate About Plants! On 14th April we are excited to be hosting our eighth Passionate About Plants event with four top TV gardeners at Haydon School, Pinner. There will also be the opportunity to buy plants, seeds and tools from specialist nurseries. Everyone is welcome. Tickets are £26 available in advance. You can find more information and buy tickets here.
We organise regular trips to gardens and shows to satisfy our quest for new varieties and to give us ideas we can bring back to our own gardens. Our next visit is to Pashley Manor Tulip Festival on 3rd May, followed by RHS Malvern on 11th May.
Plant sales take place at all our meetings apart from December. Members are invited not only to buy, but to sell their own surplus plants – a very good way to try new plants at reasonable cost. We host three public plant sales and have a display stand annually at Chenies Manor Plant and Garden Fair
