Capel Manor Gardens is a 30-acre estate surrounding a Georgian Manor House and Victorian Stables with richly planted themed gardens including Historical Gardens, Italianate Maze, Japanese Garden, Kim Wilde’s Jungle Gym Garden and many others. Further details are available here

Angela Fleming, one of our HPSMG Committee members, is pleased to invite you to a Summer Open Garden Day. We very much hope that you will come along to see Angela's garden and meet your Committee members.
The Middlesex Group regularly have a display stand at Chenies Manor Plant and Garden Fair showing examples of popular hardy plants. The day is primarily used to promote the Society and canvas for new members. Although we do not sell plants from our stand, this is a very popular event supported by many well known specialist nurseries selling their own selections of plants. The trip will include a guided tour of the vineyard and winery, set in 22 acres near Tenterden in Kent with a chance to taste some of the high quality English wines produced there.
We'll also be visiting Falconurst, near Edenbridge, for a short visit to the garden and the opportunity for refreshments.

Guest Speaker: Paolo Arrigo - Seeds for Hardy Plants
Paolo speaks frequently on behalf of Franchi Seeds ("the oldest family-run seed company in the world"). He will deal with the suitability of Franchi seeds for the English climate, will make some special seed offers available and, while we are enjoying our seasonal mince pies in the interval, will entertain us with music from his accordion.
