Report on 'Passionate About Plants' 2010

What a wonderful day we all had at
'Passionate About Plants' 2010. More than 300 people attended
the event travelling from all over the UK. It would seem that
from many comments made both by participants and the audience
that the day was heralded as the best ever.
MC duties for the day were split between outgoing HPS Chairman Sue Pinsent and, subject to being elected, incoming Chairman Vivienne McGee. The HPS's President, Roy Lancaster OBE VMH was also present.
Our lineup of speakers included the award winning garden designer well known tv gardening presenter Chris Beardshaw, the head gardener at Great Dixter, Fergus Garrett and award winning nurseryman Rosy Hardy of Hardy's Cottage Garden Plants.
Five specialist nurseries had a wonderful array of plants for sale and Shoots local garden centre brought along a wide range of garden sundries for sale plus they also provided our stage display of plants.
