Plant Sales are held at every evening meeting except December. Many guest speakers sell plants at our meetings and members may also bring plants for our sales table.
The Group also holds 3 public plant sales, usually in April, May and June, at the Community Hut, St Martin’s Car Park, Ruislip. Future dates will be announced in due course
Selling Plants at our Plant Sales – What you need to know
Plant Sales at evening meetings
Plants grown by members are either donated to be sold for Middlesex Group funds or sold on behalf of the grower with 10% commission to the Group.
At any meeting, no more than 12 plants can be brought for sale by each member. The seller decides the price.
Please complete an invoice obtainable from the Secretary. An invoice must be submitted each time.
Please present plants in clean pots, labelled with the plant name, some description of the plant and its cultivation. Pot sizes from 3 inches up to 5 litres.
Each label must be marked with price in multiples of 50p together with member’s initials.
If the plant is not donated, then the selling price, less 10%, will usually be paid to the seller at the next meeting. Please collect any unsold plants at the end of the meeting.
Public Plant Sales
We have 7 tables for which we charge £5 plus 10% of the selling prices.
Tables allocated on a first come first served basis.
At the public plant sales you sell your own plants. There is no limit on the numbers of plants.
You decide the price. Please complete an invoice.
You decide whether or not to label each plant.
